Brighter Days Music Festival – Sunshine, Sparkles & Seriously Good Vibes 🎶☀️💖
What. A. Weekend.
The Brighter Days Music Festival once again delivered everything we love – epic music, amazing people, gorgeous weather (even if it was a scorcher!), and non-stop fun! This year’s event was extra special for Mermaidia Braids, as we scored the perfect site location – right near the stage! We were super visible to all the festival-goers and right in the heart of the action. And we LOVED it!
🎸 Friday Vibes (4pm – 10pm | 32°C | Hot & breezy)
The festival kicked off with a bang as the crowd rolled in and the music fired up!
We danced along to:
4:45pm – Dammed Sam and the Preachers
6:45pm – The Great Big Beer Band feat. Reece Mastin
8:30pm – Casey Barnes
The energy was electric and our stall was buzzing with families, festival fans, and heaps of glitter lovers ready for their festival braids and sparkly ponytails!
🎤 Saturday Sparkle (8am – 10pm | 33°C | Hot & breezy)
Another toasty day, but the real festival vibes hit hard from 4pm onwards as the music kicked in and the crowd grew.
The afternoon and evening tunes were:
3pm – Sussudio
4:45pm – Eurogliders
6:45pm – Scott Carne, Brian Mannix, Sean Kelly & Ally Fowler
We had a steady stream of clients all day, but once the music started, it was all hands on deck – braids, bling, and bubbly energy everywhere! The music lineup was pure nostalgia gold, and the crowd was living for it.
🤘 Sunday Fun Day (8am – 10pm | 33°C | Hot & breezy)
We wrapped up the festival with sunshine, good tunes, and new friends – including our favourite vendor duo, Chelsea and Vivian from 3099 Jerky! Their energy was infectious, their jerky was on point, and we absolutely loved sharing the weekend with them. 💯

We ended the weekend with a dance, a cheer, and a whole lot of tired feet – but it was SO worth it. The Brighter Days Festival always has a special kind of magic, and 2025 was no exception.
