EVENT 79 - Nowra Agricultural Show

Nowra Agricultural Show β Rain, Braids & Big Cows! π§οΈππ
Our very first visit to the Nowra Agricultural Show came with a full spectrum of weather, from relentless rain to moments of sunshine and everything in between! While the skies were unpredictable, our spirits stayed high β because every show is an adventure, and we always find the magic in the moments.
Friday was, in all honesty, a little dismal for us. The rain poured down from morning to night, and the crowds just didnβt come out in force (understandably so!). We were there from 8am to 7pm and managed to complete just 5 braids for the whole day β not quite the numbers weβre used to, but hey, we still smiled through it.
Saturday brought a mixed bag of sunshine, then rain, then sunshine again, in what we called βfleets of happiness.β The vibe definitely lifted with more families coming through the gates, and we finished the day with 18 braids β still a slow one for us, but an improvement nonetheless.
But hereβs the thing β itβs not always about the numbers. This weekend we had the chance to meet some truly amazing people and families. The chats, the smiles, and the kindness shared with us were what made the Nowra Show special.
One of the highlights? The Big Cows made another star appearance β this time in the parade! We always love seeing them. Theyβre gentle, goofy, and totally photogenic, and they never fail to make us laugh.
And to top it all off, Michelle even got to jump in and help at another stall, selling jewellery for a little while! A fun and unexpected twist to the day that reminded us how lovely and supportive the show community really is.
So while the weather may have slowed things down, our hearts left full and happy. Thank you Nowra for having us β rain or shine, we had a blast, and weβre already looking forward to coming back again.
With love and sparkles,
The Mermaidia Braids Team π
