EVENT 57 - Horsham Show 2024
A Windy Day at the Horsham Agricultural Show: Braids, Ponytails, and LED Scrunchies Galore!
This past weekend, we packed up our styling tools and headed to the much-anticipated Horsham Agricultural Show. Despite the weather's attempts to dampen spirits—with its gusty winds and intermittent drizzle—the day turned out to be nothing short of spectacular.
As soon as the gates opened, a lively buzz filled the air. Families bundled in jackets strolled through the stalls, their faces lighting up at the sight of colourful displays and mouth-watering food vendors. We set up our booth, fingers crossed that the weather wouldn't keep the crowds away. Little did we know, we were about to have one of our busiest days yet!
Before we could catch our breath, a line began to form. Our appointment list quickly filled up, and soon we had a 3-hour waitlist with a minimum of 4 hours of styling ahead of us. The demand was incredible! By the day's end, we had completed 33 Festival Braids and 31 Extension Ponytails. Each style was a burst of colour and creativity, transforming everyday hair into works of art.
But the real showstopper? Our debut of the new LED hair scrunchies. These luminous accessories were an instant hit, catching everyone's eye as they twinkled amidst the crowd. Children and adults alike were enamored, and we couldn't have been happier with the response.
One of the highlights of our day was a visit from a Dodgem Car operator. With a hearty laugh, he approached us and said:
"So that's who's been doing all the braids! I kept loading people into cars and thought to myself, 'Braid, another braid, oh look, another braid!' They were everywhere! I just had to come see who's adding all these cool colours."
We couldn't help but chuckle. It's moments like these that remind us why we love what we do. Making a vibrant impact on the community of Horsham and seeing our work spread joy is truly rewarding.
Throughout the day, we met so many amazing families. Their enthusiasm was contagious, and their patience—especially given the wait times—was greatly appreciated. The kids' faces lit up when they saw their new hairstyles in the mirror, and parents snapped photos to capture the moment.
As the sun began to set and the winds picked up once more, we started to pack up, tired but elated. The Horsham Agricultural Show had not only given us a platform to showcase our latest styles and products but also gifted us with memories we'll cherish for a long time.
