EVENT 36 - Bass Coast Agricultural Show

Discover the charm of Wonthaggi, a picturesque southern coastal town with a population of over 19,000 kicked off our 2024 with a delightful addition to Mermaidia Braids events calendar—the Bass Coast Show.

The event, bathed in sunshine with a slight breeze at 29°C, unfolded from 9 am to 3:30 pm, offering a mix of kids' rides, tantalizing food vendors, captivating tractor and car shows, a petting zoo, a enchanting horse and carriage ride and more.

The show drew a diverse crowd, we had families making group bookings to revel in the festivities. Among the attendees were two enthusiastic 10-year-old girls and their mom, who, having discovered the event on Instagram, eagerly watched all our posted videos in anticipation of the event. Their excitement was palpable as they finally got the chance to meet us at the show. We even created a vibrant pink festival braid for a sleeping child nestled in her mother’s lap.

With really cheap entry fees, the Bass Coast Show emerged as a crowd-pleaser, leaving us with nothing but love for this wonderful show in the heart of Wonthaggi.
