EVENT 31 - Wangaratta Reg Fest & Rodeo

In the heart of Wangaratta, 'Mermaidia Braids' thrived during the exhilarating Rodeo from 10 am to 9 pm at the Wangaratta Show grounds. Our skilled team seamlessly braided hair, adding enchanting looks to the lively atmosphere.

With a population of over 30,000, Wangaratta embraced the Rodeo and vibrant live music featuring Travis Collins, Adam Brand, Sara Storer, and James Blundell. The energetic ambiance and colossal tunes resonated throughout the day.

Being situated next to the rodeo ring allowed us to immerse ourselves in the thrilling events like Barrell Racing and horse and bull riding, creating magical braids that danced in the breeze. Witnessing the performances of artists like Travis Collins and James Blundall among the lively crowd added to the excitement.

While basking in sunshine throughout the day, the Wangaratta sky surprised us with a downpour during the final packing up, concluding a successful and memorable day at the Rodeo.

Despite a minor incident at the Rodeo, Michelle was asked to braid a barrel racing horse. Excited but unlucky, the horse kicked, leaving Michelle with a nasty bruise. She bravely limped back to the site, enduring two weeks on crutches and a hematoma. Despite the mishap, the horse looked stunning in the braids Michelle managed to complete.
