Mermaidia Braids at the Wangaratta RegFest and Rodeo: A Weekend of Music, Magic, and Rodeo Thrills!

This past weekend, Mermaidia Braids saddled up for a memorable experience at the Wangaratta RegFest and Rodeo! Over two spectacular nights, the event brought together an electrifying combination of live music, rodeo action, and plenty of family fun—and we were thrilled to be part of it.

The event was held on Friday and Saturday night, creating the perfect mix of country vibes and festival energy. The star-studded lineup included incredible artists like Lee Kernaghan, Casey Barnes, Hayley Jensen, and Amber Lawrence, among many others. From heartfelt ballads to foot-stomping hits, the music had everyone dancing and singing along under the starry Wangaratta sky.

But it wasn’t just about the tunes—the Rodeo extravaganza brought the thrill factor to a whole new level. The crowd cheered as cowboys and cowgirls showcased their skills, from heart-pounding bull rides to impressive barrel racing. The rodeo energy paired perfectly with the festival spirit, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

Meanwhile, at the Mermaidia Braids gazebo, the magic was in full swing! We worked our braiding magic for festival-goers of all ages, adding a touch of sparkle to the weekend. From festival braids adorned with glitter to colourful clip-in plaits, our creations turned heads and lit up smiles everywhere we looked.

We loved hearing the stories of families enjoying their first rodeo, groups of friends bonding over their favourite artists, and kids showing off their shiny new hairstyles. It was heartwarming to see so many people coming together to celebrate the best of music, community, and country spirit.

As the last note was played and the final rodeo bell rang, we packed up with full hearts and plenty of fond memories. The Wangaratta RegFest and Rodeo wasn’t just an event; it was a celebration of everything that makes regional festivals so special—family, fun, and a little bit of sparkle.
