Udderly Fabulous Fun at the Lilydale Show with Mermaidia Braids! 🐄✨
This past weekend, Mermaidia Braids brought a swirl of colour and creativity to the Lilydale Show, and what a moo-velous time it was! With a fun cow theme throughout the showgrounds, adorable cow statues, and even live calves stealing the spotlight, the event was packed with laughter, fun, and unforgettable moments. Let’s dive into the highlights!
Cow-tastic Decorations and Guests
The Lilydale Show pulled out all the stops with its charming cow theme. Everywhere you turned, there were cow puns, quirky cow statues made by talented local primary school children, and creative designs that had everyone smiling. From the Workman Cow in heavy work boots to the stylish Shopping Cow in her red high heels and handbag, each statue was a masterpiece.
We also had the pleasure of meeting two adorable live cows: Molly, an 8-week-old calf, and Milly, her 3-month-old counterpart. These vocal ladies entertained the crowd with their enthusiastic moo-ing, which we told our clients was their way of singing along to our music—cue lots of giggles!
Saturday Highlights
Saturday was a scorcher at 33°C, with plenty of sunshine and some heavy gusts of wind to keep us on our toes. Despite the breezy challenges, our amazing team of Michael, Michelle, and Jordan worked tirelessly from 9 am to 9:30 pm to create magical memories for our clients.
We completed:

4 Extension Ponytails
The day ended with a bang, quite literally, as we enjoyed an epic fireworks display lighting up the Lilydale sky. It was the perfect way to cap off a busy and vibrant day.
Sunday Magic
Sunday brought a mix of weather with light rain on and off throughout the day, accompanied by those persistent winds. But the show must go on, and our dedicated team of braiding wizards didn’t miss a beat!

4 Extension Ponytails
Even with the rain, the atmosphere remained upbeat and fun as families explored the grounds, admired the cows, and stopped by to add some Mermaidia sparkle to their day.

From start to finish, the Lilydale Show was a blast! We loved being part of such a creative and moo-mentous event. Meeting Molly and Milly, laughing along with our clients at the cows’ "singing," and soaking up the joyful community vibes made this a weekend to remember.
