EVENT 48 - Dubbo Show

Overcast & Rainy, But the Fun Never Stopped!

Grab your umbrellas and hold on tight because the Dubbo Show was a rollercoaster of braids, laughs, and a little bit of rain-soaked chaos! With a population of 44,000 residents, Dubbo was the place to be for hair-raising adventures.

Friday Frenzy!

We kicked off with 28 fabulous festival braids and 12 dazzling extension ponytails. Despite the drizzle, the festival spirit was alive and kicking! Our gazebo might have tried to turn into a swimming pool, but nothing a bit of hay and sawdust couldn’t fix. Talk about improvisation!

Super Saturday Soiree!

Saturday was a wet and wild ride with 36 festival braids and 46 extension ponytails. The rain couldn't dampen our spirits! Michael met a brilliant girl who couldn't stop giggling. Every time I turned around, there they were, laughing away as she got her extension ponytail put in. She later tangled her ponytail on a jumping castle and was thrilled because it meant another visit to the "funny man" Michael. Talk about a silver lining!

Soggy Sunday!

Sunday saw 22 festival braids and 14 extension ponytails, and a lot of happy faces. I got to braid some amazing long hair and tackled the challenge of braiding shorter hair. Every person’s braid dream came to life, rain or shine!

Family Fun & Mother’s Day Magic

We met some fantastic families and powerful mums celebrating Mother’s Day. I missed my own daughter a lot, but seeing so many strong, wonderful mothers made the day special.

Late-Night Braiding Bonanza

Both Friday and Saturday nights, we were braiding until 10:30 PM. The crowd just kept coming, and the fun never stopped.

Dubbo, you were incredible! Despite the rain, we had a blast. Can’t wait to do it all over again next year, hopefully with a bit more sunshine and a lot more laughs! 🌟💧🎉
